1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ShareCart, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

ShareCart is a collaborative shopping list app that lets you create shared lists, add items, and sync changes in real time with other users. The app is developed by Christos Alexis Fantino and is available on iOS.

3. Account and Access

ShareCart uses anonymous authentication. When you first open the app, a random user ID is generated automatically. No email, password, or sign-up is required.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device. If you lose access to your device, you may lose access to your lists and anonymous account.

4. Shared Lists and Content

ShareCart is collaborative. When you join or create a shared list:

  • Any content you add (items, store names, display name) is visible to all members of that list.
  • Other members can edit, check off, or remove items on the list.
  • List creators can delete the entire list, which removes all data for all members.

You are responsible for the content you add to shared lists. Do not use ShareCart to share offensive, harmful, or illegal content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use ShareCart for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or the app's infrastructure
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the service
  • Share invite codes publicly with the intent to spam or abuse shared lists

6. Availability and Changes

ShareCart is provided on an "as available" basis. We may:

  • Update, modify, or discontinue features at any time
  • Perform maintenance that temporarily makes the service unavailable
  • Require a minimum app version to access the service

We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

7. Intellectual Property

The ShareCart app, its design, code, and branding are the property of Christos Alexis Fantino. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without prior written permission.

Content you create within the app (list items, store names, etc.) remains yours. By using ShareCart, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit this content solely to provide the service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

ShareCart is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Christos Alexis Fantino shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of ShareCart, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruptions.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to ShareCart at our discretion if these terms are violated. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of ShareCart after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
